If you don’t put your foot down right now and decide to be happy and thankful, their will always be something to keep you from it. Don’t waste another moment waiting for your circumstances to change. The quality of your life will not depend on your circumstances, but will depend on your choices in your attitude. It will not chase you down in the middle of a crises, it won’t tackle you like a football player in the middle of what seams to be unchangeable events. You have to take charge and say to yourself “That happiness and thankfulness will be mine right now!”

Sometimes circumstances NEVER change. You may never get that bigger house, new car, job promotion, another child, bigger work shop, designer clothing, Rolex wrist watch, or that dream helicopter, but that doesn’t mean you have to give into bitterness, sadness or discouragement. I learned a long time ago if I start to feel life is beating the heck out of me, it’s my time to think about the good things in my life and start that attitude change that begins with my thought process.

Some have asked how I keep going, facing all the things I do? I tell them because I choose to keep the right attitude. I choose to keep pressing forward towards my goals. I choose to ignore the negative thinking patterns that promise defeat. I choose to say I can when everything is saying I can’t. I choose to be happy and thankful.

Will you make the choice to be happy and thankful in the face of great opposition? It’s when you make the choice to be thankful and happy that you will begin to see things change around you? You will start to see the goals you once had rise up within you fresh and new and the self determined drive to meet that goal will chase you down and tackle you like that football player I mentioned earlier. It all starts right here and right now by making the choice to be happy and thankful in the face of every negative circumstance. If your waiting for everything to be peachy and golden before you decide to be happy and thankful, then you will be sadly disappointed. Being happy and thankful isn’t based on material possessions, but it’s based on your attitude during the worst of times or the very best of times. Make the choice today and form the right habits now that will carry you through a lifetime of joy.

Life’s priorities have always taken precedence over doing fun and nerdy things such as this, but today the tide has turned and one of my life long dreams is now come reality. JeremyHarveyRC.com is official.

I was born with a rare birth defect called Phocomelia Syndrome, I’m one in millions to say the least. As you can see from the picture of me in the page banner my arms are rather short with three fingers on each hand. My shoulder sockets are turned inside out and I lack the physical strength most possess. So what to do with it? Sit around and have a pity party, or take life by the balls? I choose to take life by the balls. Notice I didn’t say chose (which is past tense). For me, it’s a daily choice I make when I sit on the side of my bed every morning. My body aches as I feel the gravitational force of my bed pulling me back underneath the blankets. I rarely succumb to the comfort, but instead I stand up and make the choice once again to get dressed, brush my teeth, eat breakfast, drive to school, do my homework and fly RC Helicopters…

Ah!! That’s it! Fly RC Helicopters… That’s a choice too and one that hasn’t come easily. I fly alone 95% of the time. I do my own builds, repairs and setups. Do I like it? I LOVE IT! I’ve never ran across anything in my life so challenging and yet so rewarding. It may take me five times longer to build a heli and I may eat BC Powder to kill the pain in my back, shoulders and hands, but it’s sheer joy when I get to pull on the sticks and see my creation soar through the air…. enjoy the fruit of my labor.

Does this mean I’m special?…. In all honesty I don’t think so, because we all have to make the choice. The choice to get out of bed. The choice to get dressed, The choice to go to work or school. It’s always about the choice, in spite of our circumstances, and the rewards that await for us at the end of our hard work. I know you have the strength and courage to make the right choice, to chase after your goals and dreams. Nothing is to hard or to out of reach if you always remember to simply make the choice and work hard towards your goal.

I hope your inspired by the thoughts of inspiration, stories of adventures, and that you enjoy visiting my little corner on the web.

Sincerely,
